| I thought about this sculpture the first time when retelling the old joke "sculpture is what you bump into when you are looking at art." I thought, "Well, why don't we hang the sculpture on the wall?" So this piece is designed to hang on the wall from, as shown below, a ring or a thin piece of picture molding. I also have made a version with the left arm a little bit forward so that it can be suspended from a bent sheet of 3/16th inch plexiglass and thus be seen from both sides or suspended with the left hand over the edge of a structure. As ussual, I have experimented with various patinas. |
